STANSBURY PARK, Utah (KUTV) — One person was taken to the hospital after a crash involving five cars on State Road 36 near Stansbury Park in Tooele County.
Lt. Cameron Roden with Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 6 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection with Bates Canyon.
Exact details of the crash were not made immediately available. However, Lt. Roden said it started as a "chain reaction rear-end collision" in the southbound lanes of SR-36.
The crash caused minor delays on SR-36, blocking all the southbound lanes. Lt. Roden said emergency responders were allowing traffic to get around the crash by using the left-turn lane as a through lane.
No estimate for when the southbound lanes would reopen was provided.
